There is an increasing disconnect that is happening within our culture. We now live in an age of AI and a media saturated jungle. AI is a soulless entity attempting to educate humanity on how to be an embodied soul. Additionally, our souls are being entangled with quick-paced, distraction-inducing material day in and day out. This pace and cognitive pressure has caused many men to be overwhelmed, exhausted, and disconnected.
So what do we do? We slow down, find an outdoor skill, meditate on Scripture, connect with God, and consider how to apply His Word to our daily living. A goal is to cease from soulless striving and invest in hands-on time with God, His Creation, and man. There is a part of your soul that needs to connect with the natural elements of God’s Creation.
When is the last time you picked up a carving knife and whittled a spoon? When is the last time you sat down and slowly crafted a fly at your tying table? When is the last time you sat by the fire after splitting some logs and drank some coffee that you brewed over the flames? When is the last time you shot your bow or crafted an arrow?
